"Rumba & Romance - Butter's Benefit Dance"
at St. John's Lutheran Church, Algonquin, IL
Our next event, "Rumba & Romance - Butter's Benefit Dance", will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church Activity Center, Algonquin, IL.
This dance is a special benefit for Butter the Comfort Dog. Butter interacts with people at churches, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, events and in disaster response situations. Butter will be at our dance and she would love to meet you!
Donations for the local food pantry are also greatly appreciated. Please bring canned or dry food products that you would like to donate to this charity. Cash donations are also welcome.
Doors open at 7:15 pm with a free Rumba lesson at 7:45 pm from Professional Ballroom Dance Instructors Frank and Jackie Penze. Open dancing will start at 8:15 pm and continue until 10:30 pm with Ballroom, Latin & Swing music provided by DJ "Dr. Rod".
There will be free cake and coffee, door prizes, a 50-50 drawing and surprises. The dress code is dressy casual, no jeans or gym shoes. Admission is $8/person for USA Dance members, $12/person for non-members and $10/person for seniors 65 and older.

About Our Chapter...
The Greater Fox Valley of Illinois Chapter #2042 is a social ballroom dancing Chapter serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Our group was officially established as a USA Dance, Inc. Chapter in January 1997. Our monthly dances are open to the public. You do not have to be a USA Dance member to attend. We are a nonprofit organizaton.
Our monthly dances feature a digital stereo sound system, a syllabus containing a list of songs with the recommended dance and free cake, coffee and door prizes. Music used at all USA Dance chapter events is licensed through ASCAP, BMI and SESAC.
A free dance lesson begins at 7:45 pm and is included with the admission. Open dancing starts at 8:15 pm and continues until 10:30 pm.
Our dress code is dressy casual (no gym shoes or blue jeans) unless an announcement is made for a special or "theme dance".
Admission is $8/person for USA Dance members, $12/person for non-members and $10/person for seniors 65 and older.
